Wakefield Wildcats 25, London Broncos 26 (May 4): LONDON Broncos won a see-saw encounter at Belle Vue 26-25, but the Wildcats will rue three missed conversions from Graham Law in the second half after out-scoring their visitors by five tries to four.

Likewise, London will be thanking Tony Martin for adding 10 points of his own.

Tries for Martin Moana and Chris Feather, two goals to Ian Knott and Brad Davis' drop goal sent Wakefield into a 13-0 lead before Steve Hall and Michael Gillett's tries, converted by Tony Martin, cut the gap to one point at half-time.

Matt Toshack gave them the lead soon after the restart, but David March and Martyn Holland put the Wildcats back in front.

Thankfully, Dennis Moran did pass his late fitness test to play, and it was his second half try, together with two more goals from Tony Martin, that opened a five-point gap.

Law's third miss, after Ben Westwood's try, proved crucial as the Broncos held on yet again to win by the narrowest of margins.
