EALING’S Joseph Hee is national schools table tennis champion for the third year in a row.
The 16-year-old was seeded top in the Under-16 boys category at the Butterfly National School Individual finals in Wolverhampton at the weekend.
And he justified his seeding, beating second seed Louis Price 3-1 (8-11, 11-1, 11-7, 11-2) in the final.
He earlier came through 3-1 (11-9, 11-4, 5-11, 12-10) against sixth seed Rhys Davies in the quarter-finals and fourth seed Naphong Boonyaprapa 3-0 (11-8, 11-6, 11-6) in the semis.
Hee, a student at City of London School, said: “It’s three years since I started playing in England, and to win it three times is a pretty awesome feeling."
