BUCS Chief Executive Vince Mayne says that the University sport governing body are ‘thrilled’ to have signed a three-and-a-half-year partnership with ICG (Intermediate Capital Group), the new Women’s Hockey Programme Headline Partner.

The link, based on shared values and ambitions, provides excellent opportunities to develop the next generation of female leaders across the UK, centered around “working together to deliver performance.”

And Mayne sees it as a significant move for BUCS, with the prospect of working alongside an organisation with similar goals a particularly exciting one.

“BUCS is thrilled to form a partnership with Intermediate Capital Group. Priding themselves on diversity, innovation and performance, ICG are the perfect partner for one of BUCS’ most competitive female programmes,” he explained.

“There are a lot of synergies between BUCS and ICG, both high performance organisations, striving to provide excellent opportunities for young female leaders across the UK.

“BUCS are looking forward to “working together to deliver performance” with ICG over the next three and a half years.”

ICG is a unique global asset management firm that strives to develop strong, female leaders, offering talented individuals excellent opportunities across a range careers including: investments, finance, marketing & sales, operations and HR.

The partnership will rebrand the BUCS Women’s Hockey Programme as the BUCS & ICG Women’s Hockey Programme, covering all five tiers and 48 leagues of the Women’s Hockey Programme, including 292 teams from over 100 universities.

It will also feature the BUCS Trophy & Championship competitions as part of BUCS Big Wednesday in Nottingham.

And it’s a relationship that ICG Chief Executive Benoit Durteste is looking forward to cultivating.

“This year ICG is celebrating 30 years of helping companies across Europe, the US and Asia achieve their long term growth ambitions,” he said.

“We are proud of our heritage and our ability to attract and retain talented individuals who help us achieve high performance for all our stakeholders.

“We are delighted to have joined forces with BUCS and look forward to working together to support the development of the next generation of young female leaders.”
