Kyren Wilson is a burgeoning talent in snooker and he admitted his delight at reaching a maiden UK Championship last 16.
The 26-year-old Kettering potter already has three tournament titles under his belt, including two this season, and is breaking more ground with his best-ever run at the Barbican.
The Warrior faces Barry Hawkins for a place in the last eight and he revealed there were a few butterflies in his stomach at going so far in York.
“I’m in different territory – I’m in this round and getting quite nervous now!” he said.
“There are so many tournaments nowadays, you can’t have a good record in every single event. It’s nice to get to the last 16 and still be involved.
“If I can reproduce what I produced in [my previous] match, I’m a handful for anybody, it’s about reproducing that week in, week out.”
