Jimmy White is anticipating a nail-biting climax to the Northern Ireland Open when Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump face-off on Sunday.
The final, rounding off an entertaining week’s action at Waterfront Hall, Belfast, pits the in-form Trump against Rocket Ronnie, who needed a flukey red to seal a telling victory over Mark Selby 6-5 in the final four.
Trump negotiated his semi-final against Eden Sharav 6-3, and White believes there will barely be a hair’s breadth between the two in the final.
“Ronnie’s the crowd favourite, it’s going to be a packed house and hopefully they’ll see some great snooker.
“Judd’s been playing well all week, so I think it will go the distance – I think it will be 9-7 either way.”
