Mark Lambert is looking for Harlequins to bounce back against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Saturday.

Quins suffered a demoralising 44-22 defeat at home to Wasps last time out and, according to Lambert, face a season-defining run of three games.

“We knew coming into this spell of four games, as it always is every year during the Six Nations,” he said.

“These Premiership games can be really decisive at this stage of the season.

“Obviously defeat is not what we wanted from the first game but there are three huge games to go in this period of time and it starts at Welford Road.”

Currently ninth in the table, Lambert knows his side need to start picking up points quickly if they are to climb the ladder.

He also feels playing at Welford Road will be a great experience for the younger members of the team.

“It’s a great place to play,” he added.

“There will be a few young boys in our team who haven’t played there, it’s a brilliant rugby arena and a brilliant place to win and that’s going to have be our mindset going into the game.

“We have to collect some wins if we want to get heading up the table, which is what we want.

“We will have to take some of the hurt from Wasps because you have to learn from what’s gone before but we also have to approach it as a new game and throw everything at it.

“We will take it as a cup final really go at it for 80 minutes if we do that we’ll be in with a chance of getting the result we need up there.”
