James Chisholm admitted Saturday’s sensational comeback win over Wasps was one to remember for Harlequins.

The flanker crossed late on to complete a stirring second-half display by the home side after Wasps had established a comfortable 21-0 lead.

But a blitz of late tries from Chisholm, brother Ross, James Lang, Danny Care and Elia Elia in a dramatic period which also saw James Haskell red carded for Wasps, gave John Kingston’s side an unlikely 33-28 success.

Man of the match Chisholm hopes the victory can generate momentum going forward, despite Quins already bowing out of the Champions Cup.

“It was an awesome performance, especially in the second half,” the 22-year-old said. “We worked so hard to get something out of it and we did.

“The competition’s dead for us but it’s about momentum and winning as many games as we can.

“It might not be about winning a trophy in this competition but it’s about laying down a marker and building up to the competitions we have a fighting chance in.

“We haven’t been in the Champions Cup for a season or two, it’s still exciting to come out and play and La Rochelle away next week, not many teams win there so that will be a huge challenge and a huge opportunity.”
