Harlequins will look to put the disappointment of not qualifying for the European Champions Cup behind them against Ulster this evening.

Quins had a disappointing display last weekend in their must-win game in Round Three which Ulster won 17-5 at the Stoop.

The game was peppered with injuries as two Quins’ talisman in Danny Care and Chris Robshaw both went off with concussion.

Due to these injuries Ian Prior takes on the scrum-half role whilst Dave Ward and Archie White take the place of Robshaw and Mat Luamanu in the back row.

To add to their woes Quins’ Joe Marler also took a knock in the game allowing Lewis Boyce to come into the starting line-up at prop.

Despite no chance of qualification, Quins will look at this evening’s fixture as an opportunity to gain some momentum going into the Aviva Premiership next week.

Head Coach John Kingston said: “We are extremely disappointed to lose to Ulster at home on Sunday; ending out chances of qualifications into the quarter-finals of the competition.

“That said, we are really looking forward to the match on Friday night and will be demanding a positive performance ahead of our return to the Aviva Premiership.”

Their opponents have given themselves an opportunity to progress but need another victory if they're to overhaul La Rochelle who are unbeaten after three games.

The Irish side will look to capitalise on their home advantage and make just two changes to the team that won last week.

After an impressive performance off the bench Chris Henry will start in the back row, whilst injury to Tommy Bowe leaves space for Louis Ludik at centre.

Irish international and Ulster’s current in form winger Jacob Stockdale understands the importance of getting results this side of Christmas.

He said: “This weekend I won’t necessarily be going looking for the tries but I’m pretty hopeful that I score one.

“The games over the Christmas period and December set you up for the rest of your season, if things going well you are looking at a really nice spot come January.”
