QPR will look to return to winning ways on Saturday when they welcome a Leeds United side searching for another crack at promotion.

Ian Holloway’s men put up a brave fight in last week’s 1-0 defeat to Preston North End, despite ending the game with nine men.

QPR will take positives from that game, though, as well as taking solace in their impressive record against the Yorkshire team to whom they have not lost since 2011.

Last time the sides met in March, they were forced to share the spoils at Elland Road in a goalless draw, with Conor Washington going closest for the R’s.

“Wherever Leeds are in the table at the moment is irrelevant going into the game,” said Holloway.

“It’s about us putting our game on them and getting the points.

“If we can get two wins, we’ll be back towards where we want to be.”

Holloway is without Alex Baptiste and Jamie Mackie after they were both sent off last week, but Nedum Onuoha, Grant Hall and Luke Freeman could feature.

After appointing new manager Thomas Christiansen, Leeds started the season with a bang, winning five of their opening seven games.

But despite a poor period through September and October, Leeds have rediscovered their earlier form and currently sit a respectable eighth in the table.

Rangers can close the gap to their opponents to just five points on Saturday with a win.
