Walking on court to greet Andy Murray and Roger Federer isn’t something most people get to do.

But Margaret Ramsey can consider herself one of the lucky few, after doing just that at Andy Murray Live.

Thanks to SSE Reward, 63-year-old Margaret won the opportunity to perform the coin toss ahead of Murray and Federer’s exhibition match at the event at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro.

After completing her important task, Margaret then enjoyed the action unfold from courtside, watching on as Federer donned a kilt before defeating Murray 6-3 3-6 10-6.

And having followed Murray’s remarkable career from the very beginning, she couldn’t have been more excited to meet the three-time Grand Slam champion himself.

“I’m mega excited to do the coin toss,” Margaret said before the match.

“I love tennis and I love Andy Murray. I’m very nervous but it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.

“I get my gas and electricity from SSE, so I filled out an email to enter the draw.

“I couldn’t believe it when I won – I never win anything!

“I was so shocked when I found out. I phoned my friend and she didn’t believe me.

“It means so much to me. I watch tennis all the time and we’re hoping to go to Wimbledon next year, so this is just the chance of a lifetime!”

SSE Reward gives customers a range of benefits at its venues in Glasgow, Belfast and London, including access to ticket pre-sales and exclusive prizes.

Margaret was the recipient of the Ace Package at Andy Murray Live, which also included courtside tickets, a signed racket and accommodation.

“I think it’s fantastic that SSE offer opportunities like this,” she said.

“I don’t think anything could make this more special for me. It’s just everything I could have wished for.

“I really hope SSE carry on doing what they’re doing, they do a wonderful job.”
