Fly-half James Lang has challenged his Harlequins teammates to take their Anglo-Welsh Cup form into the Premiership after a thrilling victory over Worcester Warriors.

A 13-try thriller at the Stoop saw Quins make it ten points from ten in their pool, backing up their one-point win over Saracens with a 45-37 success in front of their home fans.

But rather than just be content with the eight-point win, Lang is hoping his side to take it to the next level.

More significantly, the academy product is eyeing up a continuation of momentum in the league, starting with this weekend's meeting with Premiership champions Exeter Chiefs.

“It was a hell of a game with a lot of points scored. We knew we had to back up last weekend with a performance this weekend," he said.

"We did that, we got the win and ten points out of the two games so we couldn’t have asked for more.

“It’s always good to get game time, it’s what this competition is about. We need to take this momentum into next weekend against Exeter.”

Quins are currently fifth in the league, but with five teams all sitting on four wins and three defeats, can ill-afford to rest on their laurels.

And with another away trip to follow, this time to Bath Rugby, before double European champions Saracens come to south London, the success of the season could hinge on their pre-Christmas performances.
