Harlequins will look to capitalise on their win over Wasps on Saturday against a Leicester side who are yet to find their rhythm.

Quins have momentum moving into the fourth round of the Aviva Premiership but director of rugby John Kingston is not underestimating the Leicester encounter.

“We are delighted to have secured back-to-back victories over Gloucester and Wasps,” he said.

“However, we know Leicester present a massive challenge, notwithstanding the excellent home record we have had in recent times.”

Kingston makes three changes to the side who beat last season’s runners-up, with Joe Marler ruled out with a rib injury.

Rob Buchanan returns at hooker for Dave Ward, with Mark Lambert and Will Collier making up the new front row.

Teenage sensation Marcus Smith will reprise his role at 10 after a measured performance last week, which saw him slot the winning penalty.

Smith is one of six Quins players who have made Eddie Jones’ 28 man England training squad, with Leicester having five respectively.

Leicester head coach Matt O’Connor will feel an element of relief after his side claimed their first win of the season over a clumsy Gloucester side at the weekend.

“We were pretty disappointed about the performance in the final 60 minutes against Gloucester last week,” he said.

“We started with the intensity we’ve tried to get all season but after that, we let ourselves down.

“Quins have dangerous players – a lot of big-game players – and they’re very hard to beat at the Stoop. We’ll have to be at the very top end of our game to get the points there.”

Tigers will retain the same backline whilst Dom Barrow and Dominic Ryan return in the back row, with Luke Hamilton on the bench.

With both fly-halves named in Eddie Jones’ 28 man squad, this Saturday’s game could be an indication of a potential changing of the guard at 10.

Meanwhile, Leicester will need a much stronger performance in the lineout on the weekend, after a far-from-impressive display against the Cherry and Whites.

O’Connor added: “There are not many teams in the league that could malfunction at lineouts but still come away with the points, and put yourself in a position to probably get a bonus point.”

The Tigers lineout is an area Quins could dominate, with captain James Horwell the top receiver in the Premiership with 21 lineouts won.
