ALAN McCORMACK is pushing for a start when promotion rivals Brentford and Watford lock horns at Griffin Park tonight, with just two points separating them in the table.

McCormack returned to the bench for Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Leeds United, and Moses Odubajo could be the man to make way for the Irishman.

The Bees will start the evening in fourth place, having won four of their last six league games, and are unlikely to make many changes from the weekend.

Boss Mark Warburton stuck to his guns for the trip to Elland Road, but new signing Jack O'Connell could make his debut after joining on deadline day from Blackburn Rovers.

Midfield pair Alan Judge (knee) and £1m January signing Lewis Macleod (hamstring) are still receiving treatment on their injuries.

Sixth-placed Watford, who have a favourable goal difference, could overtake The Bees if they beat them, and confidence will be high following Saturday’s 1-0 win over Blackburn.

The Hornets won the earlier meeting this season 2-1 at Vicarage Road and are unbeaten in their last seven trips to Griffin Park, winning three.

Brentford youth team defender Gradi Milenge has returned to Brentford from his loan at Vanarama Conference South side, Farnborough.

The centre half joined the Hampshire club on loan in January, playing three games.

Bradley Clayton scored in the 97th minute to secure a point for Brentford at home to Swansea City in the Under-18 Professional Development League Two South.

Jon De Souza's team extended their unbeaten run to four matches.

Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is offering fans the chance to be a Brentford mascot against Huddersfield.
