THE Under-11 team from Southall Youth FC hope to be crowned London FA cup winners in their age group this Sunday.
The team face Glebe FC at the Mile End Stadium, Rhodeswell Road, Poplar, E14 7TW at 10am.
Coached by Emanuel Asare and assistant Samuel Arhin, the boys started their pre-season training back in May when other teams were playing tournaments or enjoying a rest.
They were preparing for the step-up from mini soccer to the nine-a-side game – and they haven’t stopped training or playing since.
The boys are unbeaten in all their 23 league and cup fixtures this season in the Harrow Youth League. They have scored 121 goals and conceded just 15.
Opponents Glebe are also unbeaten in their league.
To get to the final, Southall beat Hayden Youth (Kent), Petts Wood, Chettle Court (Tottenham), Balham Blazers and Junior Reds (Charlton).
