Aussie student killed in lorry collision outside police station

AN AUSTRALIAN law student who had lived in Ealing for ten years was killed last Thursday following a collision with a lorry.

Patricia McMillan, 32, from Acton, was hit by a lorry while on her bicycle, outside Acton police station on Uxbridge Road at the junction with Steyne Road.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family flew to England from Sydney on Monday to formally identify the body and make funeral arrangements.

Ms McMillan, who was single, had been studying for law exams in Holborn, to add to her existing law qualifications.

A post mortem took place at Uxbridge mortuary on Friday morning, and an investigation is underway.
