Post office saved by community
 |
| MP Steve Pound |
A POST office earmarked for closure has been saved. The Boston Parade Post Office in Boston Road, Hanwell, will not close after extensive lobbying from residents, Ealing Council and Ealing North MP Steve Pound.
Cllr Leonora Thomson, deputy leader of the council, said: "This is really good news for local people and businesses who rely on having the post office nearby."
Paul Simmonds, head of area for Post Office Ltd, said: "Although we have decided to keep this branch open, its future survival will be dependant on the number of customers using it."
