Library poster to capture young

A NEW poster campaign has been launched in a bid to encourage more young people to use their local libraries.
Ealing Council's library service has got together with other London councils, the Association of London Chief Librarians (ALCL) and the London Libraries Development Agency (LLDA) to launch the campaign across the capital to encourage more young people to take advantage of free internet access in their libraries.
Library bosses believe offering free internet access to youngsters will encourage them to use their libraries more often.
Ealing Council's head of library services Jane Battye said: "While lots of young people are very computer savvy, our research has found that this age group is the least likely to visit a library.
"This campaign aims to hook their interest in a cheeky and attractive way to get them into libraries so that they can see for themselves the different services we offer."
The ad campaign which has been designed by Bisset Adams Design Consultancy, features a striking image of a young black woman leaping towards you with the slogan, Sink your teeth into the internet for free at your local library'.
The ad will be featured on tube trains, buses and inside panels on Docklands Light Railway from Monday until May 23.
