A 150-year-old antique diamond ring worth £10,000 was snatched during a street robbery.
A 49-year-old woman was waiting for a taxi outside the Russell & Bromley shop on Ealing Broadway at about 9.50pm on Friday 12th December when she was attacked from behind.
Her attacker grabbed her and squeezed her tightly causing bruising.
He then grabbed her shoulder before taking her handbag and running off towards the Marks & Spencer store.
He made off with a black Gap canvas handbag containing an antique gold ring encrusted with a two carat diamond and £2,000 cash.
He is described as white, aged between 20 and 25, and 6ft 2ins tall.
He was wearing a cream top and has short, dark brown hair and is of heavy build.
