RUNNERS on a 40,000km lap of the globe stopped off at an Ealing school yesterday.
The team visited Vicar's Green Primary School in Lily Gardens, Alperton, to spread the message of the World Peace Relay.
Participants take turns to carry a torch on its international trip, which is aimed at promoting international friendship and understanding.
Pupils from the school were joined by the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Hazel Ware, and had a chance to hold the torch, which will be carried across five continents by 500,000 runners.
