Baby smuggler to be sentenced

A WOMAN who was found guilty of buying a baby in Nigeria and smuggling it into the UK is due to be sentenced today.
Peace Sandberg, 40, of West Ealing, was found guilty of illegally bringing the baby into the UK at Isleworth Crown Court last month.
She claimed to the British Consulate in Nigeria she had adopted her cousin's baby in order to get a visa for the child.
But when she arrived in the UK she told Ealing Council's housing officers the boy was her child, in order to get a council house.
She will be sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court today.
