TO celebrate 100 years of the Piccadilly Line, RPM Dance Theatre teamed up with two Ealing schools for a production called Sardines.
The performance, following the story of characters from 1920s Tube platform posters as they come to life and enter the daydreams of modern day passengers, was presented at the Riverside Studios on December 10 and 11.
Pupils from East Acton Primary School and Twyford CE High School created their own centenary dances inspired by historic posters, photographs, maps and even Tube sounds which were included in Sardines.
Melanie Thompson, Year 6 teacher at East Acton Primary School, said: "The children express their ideas through dance and drama which they thoroughly enjoy. Many children were spotted rehearsing in the playground during lunchtimes."
Mary Watkins, head of dance at Twyford CE High School, said: "This has been a wonderful opportunity for pupils to gain experience of dance performance on a professional level.
"They have thoroughly enjoyed the workshops and have created some very entertaining work."
