PARK users in Ealing can feel safer this summer, thanks to the work of community safety specialist Parkguard.
Following a successful pilot scheme in May, park patrol officers will focus on 12 of the busiest parks, including Walpole Park, Islip Manor Park and Acton Park, as well as responding to incidents elsewhere when necessary.
Officers will travel in a marked vehicle, providing a presence in Ealing’s open spaces and responding to incidents such as under-age drinking and drug use.
Cllr Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for transport and environment, said: “Summer usually sees an increase in people making the most of our beautiful parks in Ealing, but unfortunately this can also mean an increase in anti-social behaviour.
“We want to keep our open spaces attractive and welcoming."
