A WOMAN has died after being pulled from a blazing house in Chiswick.
Firefighters were called at about 11.45pm on Friday night after the fire started at the house in Esmond Road, Chiswick.
The woman, who has not been named, was found unconscious on the ground floor of the terraced house.
She was taken to Charing Cross Hospital but later died.
The blaze destroyed the roof and loft conversion at the house and damaged part of the first floor.
About 30 firefighters, from Chiswick and Acton stations, battled the fire, which raged through the night and was finally brought under control just before 5.30am the next morning.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the blaze.
