POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was stabbed in Acton.
Police were called at around 6pm on Tuesday, July 7, to reports of a man injured in Kingswood Road.
Police believe the man, who is 58, was returning home from work when the attack happened.
He was walking in Kingswood Road, near the South Acton British Rail Station, when he was approached and surrounded by four boys in their mid to late teens.
The man was then assaulted by the boys, and was cut on the back of his right hand and had a puncture wound on the top of his left leg.
The four teenagers then ran off down Cunnington Road towards Acton Green, where they may have been joined by more youths, some of which could have been female.
The injured man was taken to hospital in a stable condition, and has since been discharged and is making a good recovery at home.
Anyone with information is urged to call Acton CID on 0208 721 7101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
