FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a large blaze which is threatening to engulf a food preparation plant in Alperton.
They were called at 9.50am this morning the fire at the warehouse and factory on the Abbeydale estate.
Dozens of workers have been evacuated from the industrial estate as 15 fire crews continue to tackle the blaze.
Smoke can be seen billowing into the sky, and it is not yet known how long it will take to get the blaze under control.
Nearby roads have been closed and it is having a knock-on effect on traffic on the North Circular, which runs next to the affected estate.
