A DISPUTE over the catchment criteria for an Ealing primary school has been settled by officials (writes T'Kisha George).
Parents spoke out against the oversubscription criteria for Southfield Primary School, Southfield Road, Bedford Park, saying it discriminates against children living in the Hammersmith and Fulham borough.
However, the school adjudicator, Dr Peter Matthews, ruled the catchment area for the school was lawful, .
Neelum Bains, from the Ealing Council, said: “Clearly the adjudicator agrees with the catchment area for Southfield Primary School as he has ruled that it is both lawful and the arrangements are not discriminatory.”
She adds that catchment areas are a fair way of allocating school places.
