PROMISING athletes in the Ealing area have the opportunity to gain professional support as part of a talent development scheme.
Now in its third year, Everyone Active’s Sporting Champions scheme is supporting even more talented sports stars with their training and helping them reach their full potential.
As many as 14 athletes are now being offered helped through the scheme.
Among them are hammer thrower Dempsey McGuigan, who competed in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and twin brothers Jude and Joel Bright-Davies, both triple jumpers.

Other sports stars in the making have been awarded bronze level sponsorship, which gives free access to centres across Ealing, including Northolt Leisure Centre and Southall Sports Centre, operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Ealing Council.
Olympic silver medallist Colin Jackson is continuing to support the scheme through his role as an ambassador. He will play an integral part in providing one-to-one and group mentoring opportunities to the athletes.
Sporting Champions has gold, silver or bronze tiers of sponsorship. These packages provide funding of up to £5k to help towards training, equipment, travel and competition as well as access to leisure centres nationwide.
