ALZHEIMER’S SOCIETY and Cancer Research UK are back by popular demand as the official charities for the award-winning Ealing Half Marathon.

Returning for its seventh year, the Ealing Half Marathon which starts and finishes in West London’s Lammas Park is taking place on Sunday, September 30.

Boasting incredible community support and a superb atmosphere, the race has received three Gold awards and one Silver award for the UK’s Best Half Marathon at the prestigious Running Awards.

Race director Sandra Courtney said: “We are delighted to welcome back Alzheimer’s Society and Cancer Research UK as Official Charities for the 2018 Ealing Half Marathon.

“It was a very easy decision as they received huge support last year and are close to many people’s hearts.”

The Ealing Half Marathon has once again reached the shortlist of The 2018 Running Awards with voting is taking place now.

Alzheimer’s Society events fundraising manager Suzy Edington said: “The Ealing Half Marathon has been supporting Alzheimer’s Society since 2014 and the donations we have received have been vital in providing information, advice and support for people with dementia, their families and carers.”

The UKA-measured, single-lap course follows a closed-road route around the leafy streets of West London, taking in parts of Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell and St Stephens.
