CHILDREN from across the borough battled it out in a series of never-seen-before maths problems in the Ealing regional final of the National Young Mathematicians’ Awards.
The winners were Ravenor Primary in Greenway Gardens, Greenford, for their team work, systematic working and mathematical thinking.
The other teams competing at Explore Learning Ealing were from Oldfield Primary School in Oldfield Lane, Greenford, and Mount Carmel RC Primary School in Little Ealing Lane, Ealing.

The annual event, organised by tuition provider Explore Learning and the NRICH Project at Cambridge University, is open to teams of four children from primary schools across the UK.
This year is the most popular yet, with more than 700 schools competing. Five will eventually make it through to the grand final in Cambridge.
