EALING developer Broadway Living, wholly owned by Ealing Council, goes further than most council-led initiatives as it competes with private firms to address a lack of affordable housing in the borough.

All profits from Broadway Living’s development of private homes are used to help fund much-needed affordable housing and key services in the community.

The three-storey sales and marketing suite, which serves as its customer-facing base, will eventually be the location of three apartments.

For the moment, however, it exists as a ‘hub’ for information, not only for Copley Hanwell W7 – the development where it is located – but for all of Broadway Living’s developments. It is also home to Copley Hanwell W7’s first two-bedroom show home.

The suite is located at Alton Court to the north of Copley Hanwell W7 and was opened in July 2017 by the Mayor of Ealing, Cllr Simon Woodroofe.

This is an unusual set-up for council-led development, providing the chance for potential residents to not only find out more about the homes on site, but those at other locations too.

The ground floor features the sales and marketing suite itself, where visitors are able to view property specifications, floor plans and community information, via a touch table and iPads.

Visitors can then explore the two-bedroom show apartment on the first floor and, for those not able to take the stairs, 360-deg internal photography is available.

A few homes remain for sale at Alton Court, starting from £380,000 for a one-bedroom apartment. All are available to purchase with London Help to Buy.
