Marking another exciting chapter in the ongoing regeneration of the existing Copley Close estate in Hanwell, the Mayor of Ealing Simon Woodroofe officially opened the new Sales and Marketing Suite at Copley Hanwell W7 yesterday.
Developer Broadway Living, which is wholly owned by Ealing Council, hosted a reception to celebration the occasion. The guests included Julian Bell, Leader of Ealing Council and senior executives of Broadway Living, as well as representatives from partners including construction contractor United Living and interior designer ArtSpace.
Copley Hanwell W7 is Broadway Living’s flagship development; it involves the extensive regeneration and development of Copley Close into a desirable, mixed-tenure neighbourhood for residents of all needs and aspirations.
The Mayor of Ealing cut a symbolic ribbon to mark the event. He said: “I’m pleased to celebrate the ongoing regeneration of Copley Close, which will benefit existing residents tremendously in the refurbishment of existing homes as well as providing much-needed new affordable homes for the borough of Ealing.”
The new Sales and Marketing Suite, which also incorporates a two-bedroom show apartment, is located at Alton Court to the north of the site. This is the first phase of private homes available at the development, comprising 33 apartments and houses, 20 for private sale and 13 Shared Ownership. The first limited release of homes are for sale by appointment only.
Julian Bell, Leader of Ealing Council, said: “This regeneration exemplifies our proactive approach to creating better places and quality new affordable housing. Ealing is now seen as one of the most attractive locations in London, and Copley, with its excellent transport links, is now very much at the heart of it.”
Representing a new approach for council-led development, Broadway Living’s innovative model means that, using the profits made on private sales and rental properties, it can deliver more affordable housing for Ealing’s residents.
The homes at Alton Court will be ready for occupation from Q1 2018, and are priced from £339,000. With Shared Ownership, a one-bedroom apartment is priced from £118,650 for a 35% share. To find out more about Broadway Living and its developments across Ealing, visit www.broadwayliving.co.uk.
