THE Osterley Park Winter 10k taking place next month sold out in record time, organisers announced last week.

The race in the stunning grounds of National Trust Osterley Park and House which provides a beautiful winter setting is one of the largest open spaces in West London.

The fast flat route includes a picturesque loop of the private gardens, down the tree lined drive past grazing cattle in the park and farmland that makes up one of the last surviving country estates in London.

Race director Sandra Courtney said: “We were overwhelmed with entries for the Osterley Park Winter 10k and are delighted that it has sold out so quickly.

“It’s fantastic to see so many people wanting to keep fit and support this brilliant event at a much-loved venue in the run-up to Christmas.

“Our thanks go to The National Trust for allowing us to host this popular run in the beautiful country estate of Osterley Park and House.”

Any runners disappointed not to get into the race still have a chance to enter the Ealing-Half Marathon organised by the same company, the Ealing Half Marathon CIC (Community Interest Company).

Sandra continued: “We would urge anyone who didn’t get in to get their name down for the Ealing Half Marathon next September, which promises to be another day of outstanding sporting achievement and superb atmosphere.”

The Osterley Park Winter 10k is taking place on Saturday, December 10.

The organisers have already opened entries for the 2017 Ealing Half-Marathon which will take place on September 24 2017.

This Ealing Half-Marathon is equally as popular with many of the runners from the Osterley Park 10km race taking part and the organisers are freezing the early bird race fee until December 31 2016.
