POLICE in Ealing are appealing for the public’s help to identify two men wanted for questioning in relation to a robbery in Northolt.

Shortly after 00:20 on Sunday, July 10 the victim, a 43-year-old man, was approached by two suspects in Rowdell Road who demanded money.

Without any warning the victim was then attacked by the first suspect who hit him on the head with a brick.

Despite being dazed, the victim managed to take refuge in a nearby gym whose staff administered first aid.

Both suspects made off with the victims bag which contained his mobile phone, cash, bank card and driving licence.

The victim attended hospital a short while later where he was treated for a deep cut to his cheek and eyebrow along with bruising and swelling to his face. He has since been discharged.

The first suspect is described as a black dark-skinned male with protruding front teeth wearing a blue jumper and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as white male, with short brown hair wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans. The suspect was also wearing a silver chain.

DC Andrew Cresswell from Ealing CID, said: "This was a nasty attack on a man leaving the gym on his way home.

"It is only by sheer chance that he did not sustain any lasting injuries from a brutal attack to the head.

"If you recognise the two pictured in this appeal, please contact Ealing CID on 0208 721 7129 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
