HIGH temperatures couldn't keep the crowds away as hundreds descended on the hugely-popular Ealing Jazz Festival last weekend.

Back by popular demand the festival, now in its 31st year, saw families and residents enjoy a fun day out while listening to the beats and rhythms of many talented artists on July 23 and 24.

Headlining the weekend were jazz-funk pioneer Roy Ayers and MOBO-winning saxophonist YolanDa Brown who both put on an outstanding show to a sold out audience.

Other performances by Ealing-jazz favourites, the Vasilis Xenopoulos Quintet, K.O.G and the Zongo Brigade and Keith Waithe and his Macussi players, also bought both adults and children to their feet.

Femi Tomowo Trio was another crowd pleaser as he entertained fans with his inspirational stories and smooth rhythmic guitar solos.

A selection of independent stalls and variety of food outlets added to the festival vibe as families gathered with picnics in front of the stage areas.

Children enjoyed the chance to drum up their own percussions with the London College of Music who ran a series of musical taster sessions.

A combination of world-renowned artists and returning faces made this year's festivals one of the most successful yet with queues winding all around the park.

The jazz festival was the last weekend of the Ealing Summer Festival organised by Ealing Council for festival enthusiasts and residents.
