A WETHERSPOON pub and hotel is being developed in Northolt and is set to open in early July.

The national pub operator announced yesterday it had started work on a new £3million pub and hotel in Whitton Avenue West.

The 4,585 sq ft pub and 12 bedroom hotel - both to be named The Greenwood Hotel - are to recruit 50 people to front of house, bar and kitchen jobs.

Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We are delighted that building work has now started on the new pub and hotel.

“We have been keen to open in the town for a number of years and are pleased that this is now happening.

“We are confident that the pub will be a great asset to Northolt and hopefully act as a catalyst for other businesses to invest in the area.”

The pub, which will also have a 3,831 sq ft beer garden, will have a capacity of nearly 200 people.

Wetherspoon will bring in management from existing pubs and will start recruiting about 10 weeks before the July 5 expected opening date.
