A TEENAGER has been charged with murder after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the heart in Acton on Friday.
The victim was today named by police as Usaama Ali, of Acton, though officers said formal identification was yet to take place.
A 16-year-old boy was charged yesterday and was due to appear today in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court.
A murder investigation was launched after police were called to reports of a stabbing near a doctor's surgery in Crown Street, at about 11.50am.
Usaama was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination at Fulham Mortuary gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the heart.
Next of kin have been informed.
A 17-year-old boy arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder has been bailed to return to a west London police station on a date in early November.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.
