EALING bakers who are flans of the Great British Bake Off could claim their own slice of the action if they are successful in applying for next year’s show.

The Great British Bake Off final on Wednesday became the most-watched TV programme of the year, with 14.5m people tuning in to see 30-year-old mother-of three Nadiya Hussain's victory.

Now applications are being taken for series seven.

Those who think they can whip up a storm and impress Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood can apply to Love Productions by January 10 – but only over-16s with no formal baking qualifications and whose main source of income does not come from baking.

Applicants knead to know the basics and be whisk takers, as the long application form will take a lot of thyme to complete.

Photographs of showstoppers also need to be included to be the chosen bun.

Applicants need to d’éclair their baking experience and answer questions about their style of baking, what time of day they bake and who taught them.

Producers also want to know a little bit about the applicants personally - to make sure they are not a recipe for disaster.

The deadline to apply is midnight on Sunday January 10, 2016 and filming days are expected to be between March and June 2016.

Those who think they can rise to the occasion (it is the yeast you can do!) can download the application form at http://thegreatbritishbakeoff.co.uk/applications/

Once completed, email to baking@loveproductions.co.uk or post to The Great British Bake Off Team, Love Productions, 43 Eagle Street, London WC1R 4AT.
