ADULTS interested in learning new skills can now enrol for courses across Ealing starting this autumn.

From stress management to bricklaying, the courses are open to all adults.

Some lead to formal qualifications, such as maths and English GCSEs and an introduction to ICT. Vocational courses include childcare, health and social care and supporting teaching and learning.

Greenford Community Centre are offering reflexology, pilates and crochet, while Norwood Hall is the place for beginners' Bhangra dance, first aid at work and using a defibrillator.

Those interested in computing for beginners tuition can find it at libraries in Ealing, Acton, Northolt and Southall.

Councillor Steve Hynes, cabinet member for prosperity, skills and employment, said: “We’ve greatly expanded the courses on offer this year so whether you want to improve your career prospects or try a new hobby, there’s something to suit everyone.

"The courses are also really great value, so I’d definitely encourage people to enrol as soon as possible to make sure they don’t miss out.” There are also courses tailored to meet the needs of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Concessions are available for those over 65 and some people on means-tested benefits or who are taking a qualification to gain employment.

To book a course, complete an online enrolment form at www.ealing.gov.uk/adultlearning or email adultlearning@ealing.gov.uk or call 020 8825 5577.

Courses beginning in 2016 will be available to book online later this year.
