PARENTS buying children’s meals at a restaurant on New Broadway in Ealing have helped support a charity that helps disadvantaged children through music.
Maggie’s, and its sister restaurant Mel’s in Earlsfield, have raised over £2,500 since last year by offering £1 to Youth Music for every meal bought off the kids’ menu.
Matt Griffiths, CEO of Youth Music, said: “We are very grateful to Food and Fuel, and parents in Ealing and Earlsfield, for supporting our work through this unique initiative.
“Youth Music enables young people to express their creativity and talent through music, and Maggie’s and Mel’s restaurants will help us realise our ambition of life-changing music-making being made available to all.”
The national charity supports 400 music projects across the country for up to 75,000 children and young people who face significant challenges in their lives including disability, poverty, mental health issues, being a refugee or living in care.
