Proud recipient: Felix McGonigal receives the award on behalf of Twyford
TWYFORD C of E High School in Acton won a Music Excellence in Schools Award at the London Music Awards held at the Camden Roundhouse last week.
The event was opened by London Mayor Boris Johnson and included principal awards for Sir Cameron Mackintosh and ‘London legend’ Ray Davies, of The Kinks.
Recognising schools that provide exceptional musical experiences for their pupils, a total of eight awards were made and supported by the Mayor. Twyford was the only winner from West London.
