A BROTHEL in Clifton Road, Southall, was served this week with a three-month closure order following complaints from neighbours.

The house had been the cause of anti-social behaviour, drugs misuse and prostitution for a number of months and numerous complaints had been received from people living in fear of the activities.

Ealing Police anti-social behaviour team and Ealing Council worked to gather a portfolio of evidence to present to the court.

Sgt Nick Green, of the Police ASB team, said: “This was an excellent piece of work from PC Vickie McCartney-Hewison, who not only worked hard to protect the local community, but also to ensure the welfare of a vulnerable person was considered.

“Premises that are used for drugs and cause misery to residents will not be tolerated in Ealing borough.”

The closure order means that no one is allowed on the premises for three months. The house has been secured and boarded up to prevent anyone gaining access.
