HOUSE buyers in Ealing are some of the pickiest in the UK when it comes to choosing a new home, according to new research. from hybrid estate agent, EstatesDirect.com.

A poll of 2,000 home owners across the UK reveals that homes here take around eight house viewings before they sell – more than a third higher than Wrexham, North Wales, where they take just 4.1 viewings before they sell.

Buyers are pickier than those in the North, where overall figures align with the national average of six viewings, according to the research by hybrid estate agent EstatesDirect.com

Baljit Kudhail, property specialist for Ealing and Hillingdon, says: “The average viewing figures in London reflect the market, where we are seeing couples looking to make the move out of rental properties and into their own homes.

“Buying a property is one of the biggest investment decisions people are likely to make, so it’s only right they view and compare as many homes as they need, to ensure they find somewhere they are happy to call home.

“On the flip side, it is important that sellers feel their home is being actively marketed and that viewing leads are followed-up by estate agents.

“It can be incredibly stressful when a house sale feels as if it is dragging on. That is why we market all our homes with leading online portals such as Rightmove, Zoopla and Prime Location.

“With the average house price in the area now rising to £600,000, home sellers could end up wasting over £9,000 in traditional estate agency fees.”

Estatesdirect offers a fixed-fee package, starting from £390 plus VAT, to market and sell a property.

The estate agency, which launched this year, found that Wales was, on average, the fastest selling region.
