ONE of Ealing’s best-known pubs, the Ealing Park Tavern, is re-opening this month following a makeover.
New owners ETM Group are also responsible for the award-winning Gun in Docklands, The Jugged Hare in the City, The Botanist on Sloane Square and One Canada Square, Canary Wharf.
Featuring a 60-cover restaurant, large bar, two private function rooms and a walled garden, the pub aims to retain the traditional charm that secured its place in the London Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors, while offering a stylish refit.
Back in 1728, it operated as the Lewis Furnell Brewhouse, where brewing took place on site until the mid-1800s. Now, more than 200 years on, the tavern is bringing back the art of brewing with its own microbrewery.
Brewing bitters and pale ales, as well as seasonal additions, the microbrewery will provide its ales direct to the bar.
A range of menus includes lunch, dinner, bar snacks and Sunday lunch. Average spend per head for a three-course meal with wine is £35.
