DRAGON’S DEN star Theo Paphitis has teamed up with an Ealing designer to sell her book at his Ryman stores to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

Award-winning Soula Zavacopoulos, of Ealing Common, is selling The Wisdom of Kids books in 98 Ryman stores, including Ealing, Chiswick and Hammersmith, with all profits going to the charity.

The book is available at a discounted price of £4.99, usually £6.99.

Soula, who works in both Ealing and Devon, has been collecting funny comments and quotes from children for the last seven years and collated her favourites in The Wisdom of Kids.

A former pupil of St Augustine’s Priory, Hillcrest Road, she said: “The book captures children’s innocent view of the world and their disarming honesty, making for some of the most amusing insights and often unintentionally hilarious remarks that will have you in stitches.”

“Some of the quotes are from people in Ealing,” she said. “I have a lot of friends and family here, many of them parents, and so they're often telling me of the funny things their kids have said.”

The Wisdom of Kids started as a range of greeting cards, published through her design company, The London Studio, selling in stores such as Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.

Her first book has a big Facebook following and a wealth of celebrity fans, including singer and former X-factor judge Dannii Minogue and retailer Theo Paphitis , who is even quoted on the cover: “Love it, love it, love it!”

He selected Soula as winner in 2011 of his Small Business Award, which he runs every Sunday on Twitter.

Soula is currently expanding The Wisdom of Kids range into gifts, including mugs, coasters, calendars and the gift book.
