THE Victorian police station in Uxbridge Road, Hanwell, will be the location for three nights of historical ghost tours in November.

Clocktower Events and the Hanwell Association of Traders have secured the old police station for this pop-up event, thanks to Octoinvestment who currently own the building.

Morna McAulay, of the Clocktower Café, said: “We have been running really busy supper clubs for a while and were itching to do something on a larger scale in Hanwell.

“We thought the police station would be ideal, so we just asked if we could use it! The traders are pulling together people and resources to make it happen.”

There is a lot of intrigue attached to the old building, based on stories from over the years, some of which will be brought to life.

One of the team at the café, Anna Chessher, has just completed an MA in acting at St Martin’s and is gathering a group of actors.

She said: “Expect a chilling tour. Joining in will be optional, but it’s going to be a wicked experience either way.”

The Clocktower events team have been inspired by local historians, as well as the old building itself.

One said: “It’s just so eerie with old notices still on the walls, boarded-up windows and doorways and the original cells.

"We hope this will be the first of a number of experiences to be hosted in the area."

Tickets are £15 each and must be bought in advance. This will include a welcome drink.

Tours will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 13-15 at allocated intervals.

After the tour, there will be a ‘Policeman’s Mess’ serving hot food and drinks.
