HARLEE DEAN is set to replace the suspended James Tarkowski for Brentford when they entertain Sheffield Wednesday at Griffin Park tonight.

The Bees, in 10th place, made it two games unbeaten with a hard-fought point at Wigan on Saturday and will look to continue their strong home league form.

Boss Mark Warburton has seen his side win their last two home games, but centre-back Tarkowski will sit out the game after picking up his fifth booking of the season at the DW, earning him a one-match ban.

Dean could deputise alongside skipper Tony Craig, while winger Stuart Dallas may feature after a thigh problem.

Wednesday, in 11th place, extended their winless run to five games on the weekend with a 3-0 home defeat to leaders Watford.

The South Yorkshire club will be without midfielder Sam Hutchinson, but forward Chris Maguire is available again after suspension.

Wednesday won the last meeting 2-1 at Griffin Park in League One back in April 2012.

Stuart Gray’s side will need to improve their away form if they are to repeat that scoreline. They have not won any of their last three away games in all competitions, losing two.

Toumani Diagouraga will make his 150th league appearance for The Bees if he begins against Wednesday, while Jonathan Douglas is set to make his 450th start in professional football.

Tommy Smith and Nico Yennaris returned to action yesterday in a development squad game against Birmingham City.

Smith cancelled out Luke Armstrong’s opener to earn a point for the West Londoners. The former Watford forward has been struggling with a knee injury since the start of the season, while Yennaris made his comeback after a thigh problem.
