A NEW monthly market selling world food and crafts launches in Southall this Sunday.

It’s the brainchild of Ealing Council, in partnership with the University of West London.

After Sunday, it will be held on the first Sunday of every month, noon-4pm in the newly-created Southall Square in the High Street (next to Lidl).

There will also be live entertainment, exhibitions and live cooking demonstrations.

This Sunday, there will be a screening of Bugs Bunny for the children from 1-3pm, as well as live music performances.

Council leader Julian Bell said: “Southall is a vibrant area in Ealing. This new monthly market will complement what is already on offer and will bring together a mixture of global goods to make it one of London’s destination markets.”
