THE W3 group is showcasing its Grow Your Own art exhibition dedicated to all things green.
Running till Sunday, September 7, the exhibition at W3 Gallery, 185 High Street, Acton, explores green issues, links art to local allotments and examines global environmental issues.
Exhibition curator, Acton resident and mother of four Ros Yates said: “I hope that the art presented here will help us reconnect with the living things we eat and enjoy in a new way.”
The artwork varies in style and material, including a concrete flower bud and Japanese ink drawings.
On Monday, children are welcome to drop by at any point from 2-4pm, when the gallery will host a vegetable art workshop.
Mrs Yates, who previously worked in environmental education, hopes visitors will gain a greater appreciation of the environment, nature and the importance of living in harmony with the Earth.
Sixteen artists are exhibiting 26 pieces of art and additional prints, with the majority of display pieces available for purchase.
Prices will range from cards at £2, prints at £20 to original paintings priced between £150 and £1,000.
The closing event will be on Sunday, September 7, 4-6pm, at the W3 Gallery.
