ELTHORNE Park High school students and staff are again celebrating record GCSE results, with a best ever 73% of Year 11 students achieving five or more A*-C grades, including English and mathematics.

This is a huge leap of 15% from results of two years ago.

The top performance was that of Julia Machalska with 9A*, 5A & 1B grade, closely followed by Jake Trowbridge, who achieved 9A* and 4A grades. In all, 19 students from the Hanwell school achieved an average grade of A/A* and 49 out of 179 achieved five or more A*/A grades.

Head teacher Eliot Wong said, "Achieving excellence is our mission and these results are just reward for their dedication and effort.

“As the most improved Ealing high school over the past two years, we have shown what can be achieved through desire for success and the application of unremitting effort. “Our students have set a very high benchmark for those to come in the future."
