PEOPLE in Ealing are encouraged not to miss out on events in Walpole Park and Pitzhanger Manor House and Gallery this coming Sunday (June 1) as part of the 2014 Big Lunch.

The biggest picnic event in the borough this summer takes place at Walpole Park from 11am-4pm.

The Big Lunch aims to get as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours each year on the first Sunday in June as a simple act of community, friendship and fun.

As part of the Ealing Big Lunch, there are family-friendly activities, including:

Walking Stories: an interactive outdoor experience takes in Walpole Park at 11am, 1pm and 3.30pm.

Actions, Songs and Rhymes with local Ealing 135: a play session where young children and their parents or carers can sing popular songs with actions and basic percussion, Walpole Park, 11.30am.

Singing tour of Walpole Park with Ultimate Divas: join West End star Joe Speare in a singing, walking tour of Walpole Park at 2pm, with a chance to join in with some well-known hits.

Tasting and demonstration session of a new dish from Walpole Park's first chef-in-residence, Kalwant Sahota, 1.30pm Audio Cuts:

Digital music-making family workshop with Pitzhanger Manor Gallery and Walpole Park’s artists-in-residence, the Owl Project, 12.30pm in the Pitzhanger Manor Gallery.

All events are free and residents are encouraged to bring food, drink, friends and family.
